...here are a few tips we have learned along the way:

1.
Wax Tarts made from soybean wax are 100% biodegradable,
with no harmful petro-carbon soot to fill your lungs or get on your walls.
With no flame you avoid many dangers and hazards associated with fires.

2. You can choose to mix different scents to create a custom scent of your own. We recommend buying four,  2 oz. tarts OR get two, 4 oz. tarts for for mixing in jars on
warming plates (info based on DVG's 8 oz. flat glass lid jars).

3. When using tealight wax warmers, always use a tealight made from
soywax to avoid black petro-carbon soot depositing on the bottom of the wax
warmer bowl. A soy tealight will burn 50% longer than any other wax tealight.

4. Put your jar candles on a warming plate and lengthen the life of the candle.
A 50 hr. Candle could last up to 30% longer then if you put a flame to the wick.

5. Spills & Soybean Wax! No Worries... you can clean spilled soybean wax with your dish detergent and hot water (make sure the dish cleaner is a greese fighting formula). All other
candle waxes will not clean up this easy... infact, they will cause permanent damage to fabrics, carpet, & sometimes even staining wood.

Wicks & Dippers

 "Did you know.."

 1. Using a wick dipper eliminates interruption of the scent? When you blow out any kind of burning candle it will extinguish with a little smoke. To avoid this unpleasant smoke smell use the wick dipper to dip the wick into the melted wax pool and pull it back out with the dipper hook. Also, by dipping the wick in the melted wax, the wick is instantly rejuvenated with a new wax layer avoiding dry and brittle wicks. (see below for diagram)

2. Desert Valley Gifts Candles are made from 100% Soybean Wax, and Natural Pure Cotton Wicks to ensure you get the best scented candle available. By following the candle care tips below, you will be sure to get the best possible performance from your candle.

•Burn your candle for at least 3 - 4 hours each burn.
•To reduce smoking, trim the wick to 0.5 centimeters each time the candle is lit.
•Keep wick centered.
•Keep candle out of winds and drafts.
•Use a Wick Dipper to help reduce smoke and make the wick easier to relight.
•Keep candle free of any foreign matter.
•Do not allow flame to touch sides of jar.
•Place on a protected, fire-resistant candleholder.
•Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
•Never leave a burning candle unattended.
